The sixth edition of the Yuva Kabaddi Series Monsoon Edition 2023 kicked off on Sunday, September 24 and will continue till October 22. This highly competitive kabaddi tournament, known as YKS, will look to discover and nurture promising talents from across India.
In this upcoming monsoon edition of YKS, fans can expect thrilling competition with more than 300 players hailing from 16 states vying for victory in 132 action-packed matches. A total of 16 teams will participate in the Yuva Kabaddi Series Monsoon Edition 2023.
These 16 teams include Aravalli Arrows, Himalayan Tahrs, Sindh Sonics, Kaziranga Rhinos, Hampi Heroes, Chambal Challengers, Maurya Mavericks, Panchala Pride, Tadoba Tigers, Maratha Marvels, Palani Tuskers, Periyar Panthers, Chola Veerans, Murthal Magnets, Vijayanagara Veers, and Nilgiri Knights.
The competition will unfold over six rounds, with the lowest-ranked teams eliminated at the end of each round. The six rounds featured in Yuva Kabaddi Series 2023 are the Challenger Round, Promotion Round, Relegation Round, Survival Round, Booster Round, and Summit Round.
The reigning champions, Palani Tuskers, will be eager to successfully defend their title in the upcoming season.
All matches in Yuva Kabaddi Series Monsoon Edition 2023 will be held at the Fatima College Indoor Stadium in Madurai.
Teams will earn five or six points for a win depending on their margin of victory. A tie will give teams three points, while a loss will result in no points for the losing side unless the margin of defeat is close, in which case the losing team also earns one point.
