Ankush Ashok was quite impressive in his debut Pro Kabaddi (PKL) season. The 19-year-old had a 62 per cent tackle success rate while averaging 3.71 tackle points per match. The Chandigarh-based left corner registered 89 tackle points and was the top defender of Pro Kabaddi Season 9.
Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh, who created the record for most tackle points in a PKL match, amassed 84 tackle points in the PKL Season 9. The Iranian defender averages 4.2 tackles per match. Chiyaneh has made 10 Super Tackles and six High 5s for the Patna Pirates this season.
Meanwhile, Saurabh Nandal of Bengaluru Bulls earned 72 tackle points in 24 matches in the 2022 season. The left corner defender averaged 2.95 successful tackles per match in Pro Kabaddi Season 9.
While Sunil Kumar scored 64 tackle points for champions Jaipur Pink Panthers in Pro Kabaddi Season 9, Bengaluru Bulls' Aman finished with 60 tackle points.
Rinku Hari, Vishal, Sahil Gulia, Sahul Kumar and Fazel Atrachali also featured in the top 10 list of most tackle points in PKL Season 9.
