Patna Pirates’ star raider Pardeep Narwal added another record to his name when he became the first player in history to reach 1000 Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) points. Pardeep made his PKL debut in the second season in 2015, and since then, he has consistently rewritten records en route to becoming one of the best raiders in the world.

Season five of PKL was a dream run for the Haryana born raider as he scored 369 raid points, 150 points ahead of the second most successful raider. In the very same season, he took a massive 8 points in a single raid against Haryana Steelers, which is a record yet to be broken. Another mind-boggling record he can claim is of having the maximum number of points picked up in a single match (34).
Pardeep was also named the ‘Most Valuable Player’ for two successive seasons in the fourth and fifth editions of the league.
"On the whole, PKL for me from the day I started till now has been a great journey and it doesn't end here. I have many more records to break," the Patna Pirates star raider told PTI on reaching the 1000-point mark.
"I have worked very hard to reach here. I have a long way to go as a Kabaddi player. From here on, I will work harder and make sure I remain consistent and give my best for the team," he said.
"It's a responsibility that I have to keep up and for that, I need to work hard and make sure I play well in every match," he added.
Narwal, who is captain of the Patna Pirates, has still got some work to do this season as his team are quite low in the standings and are currently struggling to reach the Playoffs.
