Men’s Uganda Kabaddi League Season 3 points table: Know how the teams fare

The third season of the Men’s Uganda Kabaddi League began on March 1, 2023.

An exciting second edition of the tournament witnessed Star Pirates KC reestablish themselves as the dominant force with a stellar record of 17 wins in 18 league stage games.

Unlike last season, Season 3 of Men’s Uganda Kabaddi League features 12 teams instead of 10.

The 12 teams that are participating in this edition of Men’s Uganda Kabaddi League are Star Pirates KC, War Jaguars Kabaddi, Jakana Super Bullets KC, Masaka KC, Superior KC, Kampala KC, Random Fighters KC, Sharks Kabaddi Giants, Colothians KC, Kitara  KC, Jinja KC and Nile KC.

Kitara  KC, Jinja KC and Nile KC did not feature in the last campaign and are the three new entrants to the league for the new season.

The addition of these three teams to the league means that there will be a total of 136 matches in the third edition of Men’s Uganda Kabaddi League. The final for Season 3 is slated to take place on March 28, 2023.

Men’s Uganda League Season 3 points system

The third edition of the Men’s Uganda Kabaddi League will witness all the teams competing in matches with a duration of 40 minutes, divided into two halves of 20 minutes each.

A team will get five points for each win and no points for a draw. In case of a tie, both teams share the spoils and receive three points each.

The team that finishes on top of the standings at the end of the league stage will face the fourth-placed team in one semi-final, while second takes on third in the other semi. The winner of the semi-finals will clash in the final on March 28, 2023.
