However, all the eyeballs will be reserved for the Senior National Kabaddi Championships, which the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) has scheduled for March 2020 in Jaipur and Rajasthan.
This will be the 67th edition of the tournament. The star-studded Indian Railways emerged the winners last time out as stars like Pawan Kumar Sehrawat, who starred for the Bengaluru Bulls in the Pro Kabaddi League this season, Shrikant Jadhav and Vikash Khandola, the star of Haryana Steelers, turning out for them. They will be facing stiff competition from Maharashtra, who are former champions and Haryana, who churn out kabaddi players on a regular basis.
Along with these tournaments, the AKFI also announced the dates for the Junior Federation Cup for men and women to be held in the national capital in March 2020. All these tournaments will serve as a great breeding ground for the national team, which recently won the gold medal at the South Asian Games.
The 25-member committee also allotted the Beach Kabaddi National Championships to the Uttarakhand Kabaddi Association and the Circle Style Kabaddi National Championships to the Punjab Kabaddi Association. However, the dates for those events were not announced.
