The Indian Premier Kabaddi League 2024 is all set to get underway at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula, Haryana from Friday, October 4.

The inaugural edition of the IPKL will feature eight teams and these sides will compete in a total of 31 games over the course of the two-week long competition.

The eight teams participating in IPKL 2024 are Bengaluru Bison, Delhi Dragons, Gujarat Gladiators, Haryana Hurricanes, Mumbai Marathas, Panjab Paltan, Rajasthan Rulers and UP Titans.

All teams will square off against each other once in a single round-robin format and the top four teams in the standings at the end of all the league stage games will qualify for the semi-finals.

The team positioned first in the standings will play the third-placed team in semi-final 1, while the second and fourth-placed team will square off in semi-final 2.

A high stakes tournament with plenty to play for and a lot of top talents, the IPKL will culminate with its final on Saturday, October 19.

The IPKL has been created to offer undiscovered kabaddi talents across India through a transparent as well as relevant selection process.

The team names, logos and the IPKL trophy were revealed on September 12 in an event at Zirakpur in Chandigarh.

Kabaddi legends like Ajay Thakur and the brand ambassador of the league Manjeet Chhillar, who is a former PKL winner, a gold medal winner at the 2014 Asian Games as well as the 2014 Asian Indoor Games, were a part of the event.

All matches in the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier Kabaddi League will take place at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula, Haryana.

The IPKL 2024 matches will be telecast live on the Sony Sports Network’s TV channels and live streamed on the FanCode website and app.
