The 33rd Sub Junior National Kabaddi Championship 2024 for Girls began on March 31 and will run till April 3 in Patna, Bihar.
Organised by the Bihar State Kabaddi Association under the guidance of the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI), the 33rd Sub Junior National Kabaddi Championship 2024 for Girls will see as many as 27 teams compete for the coveted title.
These participating teams have been divided into eight groups, three teams each in five groups and four each in other three groups.
Group A features Haryana, Gujarat and SAI while the likes of Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir are placed in Group B.
Uttar Pradesh, Assam and Andhra Pradesh are clubbed in Group C while Delhi, Chhattisgarh and Tripura are in Group D.
Group E comprises Punjab, Vidarbha and Jharkhand. Karnataka, Uttaranchal, Maharashtra and Odisha are placed in Group F.
On the other hand, Group G includes Goa, Bihar, West Bengal and Kerala. Group H has Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Manipur.
Each team will play the other sides in their group once in a single round-robin format before the knockouts and the final.
The 33rd Sub Junior National Kabaddi Championship 2024 for Girls final will be held on April 3.
All matches in the 33rd Sub Junior National Kabaddi Championship 2024 for Girls will be held at the Patliputra Sports Complex in Patna, Bihar.
Haryana will enter the tournament as the defending champions after beating Tamil Nadu 43-27 in the last edition’s final.
Earlier, the 33rd Sub Junior National Kabaddi Championship 2024 for Boys was staged from March 16-19 in Motihari.
Haryana bagged the gold medal after defeating SAI in the final while Bihar and Andhra Pradesh clinched the bronze medal.
