The ongoing Pro Kabaddi League Season 9 is getting exciting with each passing day. With just a handful of matches remaining for each team, the race for a playoff spot has started to get intense.
For starters, the top two teams in the PKL Season 9 points table will qualify directly for the semi-final. Teams positioned from third to sixth will battle it out in the eliminator with the third-placed team facing the sixth and the fourth-placed side squaring off against the fifth.
Inaugural season winners Jaipur Pink Panthers sealed a spot in the knockout stages with 69 points from 19 matches. They won 13 and lost six, having an astonishing score difference of 134.
Pink Panthers’ Raider Arjun Deshwal leads the charts for most raid points in PKL Season 9 whereas Ankush tops the list of the most tackle points.
The other team that has confirmed its playoffs berth is Puneri Paltan. The Fazel Atrachali-led side won 12, lost five and tied two to make it to the knockouts.
While the captain has led from the front in the defence department, with 51 tackle points from 19 matches, Aslam Inamdar is their side’s most successful raider, scoring 138 points from 17 encounters.
Bengaluru Bulls, U.P. Yoddhas, Tamil Thalaivas and Dabang Delhi K.C. are the other teams to make it to the playoffs after an enthalling race for qualification.
