Tamil Thalaivas, Bengal Warriors’ 111-point match tops the charts for highest scoring PKL matches

Tamil Thalaivas' clash against Bengal Warriors in match 126 of Season 10 is the record-holder for the highest-scoring Pro Kabaddi League match in league history.

The match ended 74-37 in favour of the Thalaivas as the Warriors were put to the sword with a combined 111 points scored in the contest, bettering the previous record held by Patna Pirates by a point.   

Tamil Thalaivas' 74-37 win over Bengal Warriors in Season 10 was also the first time a team scored more than 70 points in a single PKL match.

Three-time champions Patna Pirates’ 69-41 win against Bengal Warriors in Pro Kabaddi Season 7 is second on the list for the highest points scored in a single match. Of the 110 points scored, Pardeep Narwal alone had bagged 36 points in the contest. 

Another PKL Season 7 match saw Puneri Paltan beat Telugu Titans 53-50 in what is the third-highest points scored in a PKL match with a total of 103 points in the encounter. 

The fourth match in this list features Bengal Warriors and Patna Pirates. The Warriors beat the Pirates 60-42 in match 20 of Pro Kabaddi Season 10 at the Shree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru.

The fifth one in this list again features Patna Pirates. Back in Pro Kabaddi Season 3, the three-time PKL champions beat Dabang Delhi K.C. 67-34 as both teams collectively notched 101 points between them.

This Season 3 clash between Patna Pirates and Dabang Delhi K.C. was the first in PKL history to cross the three-digit mark in terms of most points scored between the teams in the game. The top four matches with the highest points scored in Pro Kabaddi in a single match are the only games with over 100 points. 

A Season 7 match between Puneri Paltan and Dabang Delhi K.C. saw exactly 100 points scored between the teams. Dabang Delhi K.C. won the match 60-40 and this clash comes in fourth on the list for highest points scored in a PKL match.

The Pirates’ 69-30 win against Haryana Steelers in Pro Kabaddi Season 5’s Eliminator features fifth on the list. Pardeep Narwal bagged 34 points in this contest.

Amongst the top 10 contests in this list, Patna Pirates have been a part of five clashes and been on the winning side on four occasions with a 42-60 loss to Bengal Warriors in Season 10 being the only exception.

Meanwhile, the most points scored in a Pro Kabaddi final also features Patna Pirates following a 55-38 win against Gujarat Giants in Season 5.
