RB Leipzig and Paris Saint-Germain open the proceedings of Matchday 6 of the UCL 2021-22 with home games against Manchester City and Club Brugge respectively. A positive result for either Leipzig or Brugge will warrant them a place in the UEFA Europa League.
FC Porto host a struggling Atletico Madrid side that has won just one game so far. Already qualifier Inter travel to Madrid to take on Real Madrid while Milan welcome Liverpool at San Siro.
Defending champions Chelsea play Zenit at Krestovsky Stadium in the Group H match. Meanwhile, the headlining fixture of UCL Matchday 6 is Barcelona’s trip to Allianz Arena to face Bayern Munich. A win for the Catalan giants would give them the passage to the next round. Anything apart from a win, however, will give Benfica a chance to get through to the next round.
If Barcelona lose and Benfica win, the latter will qualify for the knockout stages. Even if Barcelona manage to salvage a draw, a win for Benfica would take them above the Catalans on superior goal difference.
