Torino (TOR) host a confident Juventus (JUV) side at Olimpico di Torino in Matchday 7 of Serie A 2021-22 on Saturday, October 2. The clash between these teams will be the first Turin derby or Derby della Mole of the season.
TOR vs JUV Dream11 prediction
Both TOR and JUV have endured a similar run of form in the 2021-22 Serie A season, winning only two of their six matches so far. Momentum, however, will be on Juventus’ side considering the Old Lady head into the fixture on the back of a succession of victories across all competitions, including a victory against Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League in midweek.
Juventus defeated Sampdoria 3-2 at home last weekend before following it up with a 1-0 win over reigning European champions Chelsea. As for Torino, they have drawn their last two matches, which makes a Juventus win the most likely outcome on Saturday.
TOR vs JUV Dream11 team tips for Serie A 2021-22
Top tip: Best forward
With Alvaro Morata and Paulo Dybala out, the onus will be on Federico Chiesa, who scored the only goal against Chelsea in the Champions League. Chiesa has scored just two goals this season but can be expected to add to his tally come Saturday.
Top tip: Best midfielder
Manuel Locatelli has been exceptional for Juventus this season. The 23-year-old has scored a goal and has assisted once this season. With Aaron Ramsey and Arthur Melo doubtful, Locatelli will once again be in the spotlight at the center of the park with great expectations of making things happen from midfield on his shoulders.
Top tip: Best defender and goal-keeper
Matthijs de Ligt is a great option to go with amongst defenders. The 22-year-old centre-half has accumulated 142 fantasy points this season; a tally which is only bettered by fellow centre-back Leonardo Bonucci (198) among defenders from the Serie A.
As for a goal-keeper, Juventus’ Wojciech Szczesny remains the undisputed choice. He’s been selected by 64.87% of fantasy users and with good reason considering the defence he has in front of him. Blessed with a safe pair of hands, Szczesny seems poised for another clean sheet to make it back-to-back shutouts.
TOR vs JUV probable playing XI
TOR playing XI (probable): Vanja Milinkovic-Savic (goalkeeper), David Zima, Gleison Bremer, Ricardo Rodriguez, Mergim Vojvoda, Daniele Baselli, Sasa Lukic, Cristian Ansaldi (captain), Karol Linetty, Josip Brekalo, Antonio Sanabria
JUV playing XI (probable): Wojciech Szczesny (goalkeeper), Danilo, Leonardo Bonucci (captain), Matthijs de Ligt, Alex Sandro, Weston McKennie, Manuel Locatelli, Rodrigo Bentancur, Dejan Kulusevski, Federico Bernardeschi, Federico Chiesa
