Super League Kerala 2024 top-scorers: Know the leading goal-scorers

The Super League Kerala 2024 began on September 7 and will run till November 10.

Organised jointly by the Kerala Football Association, Scoreline Sports and the Unifed Football Sports Development, the Super League Kerala 2024 is the inaugural edition of a men's franchise football league in the state of Kerala.

Calicut FC, Kannur Warriors FC, Forca Kochi FC, Malappuram FC, Thiruvananthapuram Kombans FC and Thrissur Magic FC are the six teams competing in Super League Kerala 2024. 

As per the Super League Kerala 2024 format, the football league will be staged in two phases - league stage and knockouts.

The league stage matches will be held in a home-and-away format. The top four teams will advance to the knockout stage. The knockouts will comprise semi-finals and the final.

The Super League Kerala 2024 final will be played on November 10.

Kochi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi, Malappuram District Sports Complex Stadium in Manjeri, Kozhikode’s EMS Corporation Stadium and Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram are the four venues that will host all the matches of the inaugural SLK.

Apart from the league title, all eyes will be on the Super League Kerala 2024 top-scorers race.

Alex Sanchez, Sergio Barboza Jr, Kervens Belfort, Raphael Augusto, Joseba Beitia and Asier Gomes are some of the high-profile names that are featuring in the ongoing football league.

Meanwhile, Malappuram FC’s star forward Pedro Manzi scripted history when he scored the first goal in the Super League Kerala history against Forca Kochi FC in the opening game at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi.

Uruguay-born Spaniard Pedro Manzi netted the first-ever goal in the SLK after he slotted home from a long cross from his teammate Faslu Rahman.

Faslu Rahman later scored his first goal in the league to guide Malappuram FC to a 2-0 win over Forca Kochi.

Apart from Pedro Manzi and Faslu Rahman, the likes of Abhijit Sarkar (Thrissur Magic), David Grande (Kannur Warriors FC), Alvaro Álvarez (Kannur Warriors FC), Muhammed Ashar (Thiruvananthapuram Kombans) and Richard Osei (Calicut FC) have found the back of the net in the opening round of matches in the ongoing SLK.
