The Santosh Trophy 2023-24 Final Round began on February 21 and will run till March 9 in Yupia, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh
Organised by the All India Football Federation (AIFF), as many as 12 teams are featuring in the 77th edition of the National Football Championship for the Santosh Trophy 2023-24 Final Rounds.
These 12 teams have been divided into two groups of six teams each. While Group A features Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Goa, Assam, Services, and Kerala, the likes of Karnataka, Maharashtra, Delhi, Manipur, Mizoram, and Railways are placed in Group B.
Hosts Arunachal Pradesh, last season's winner Karnataka and finalist Meghalaya automatically qualified for the Final Round. The remaining nine places were secured by the six group stage winners (Goa, Delhi, Manipur, Assam, Services and Maharashtra), and the three best second-placed teams (Kerala, Mizoram and Railways).
As per the Santosh Trophy 2023-24 Final Round format, each team will play the other sides in their group once in a single round-robin format.
The top four teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals, followed by two semi-finals and the final.
All matches of Santosh Trophy 2023-24 Final Round will be played at the Golden Jubilee Stadium in Yupia.
Karnataka are the defending champions of the Santosh Trophy after beating Meghalaya 3-2 in the 2022-23 final in Riyadh.
Meanwhile, West Bengal are the most successful team in the tournament’s history with 32 titles.
Where to watch Santosh Trophy 2023-24 live
Live streaming of the Santosh Trophy 2023-24 will be available on FIFA+. It will also be live streamed on Arunachal Pradesh Football Association’s YouTube channel.
There will be no live telecast of the Santosh Trophy 2023-24 on any TV channel in India.
