La Liga giants Real Madrid will look to advance to the quarter-final stage of the UEFA Champions League 2020-21 season, as they host Serie A side, Atalanta, in the round of 16 second leg at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano in Madrid on Wednesday, March 17.

Real Madrid, 13-time UCL champions, come to the fixture with an away-goal advantage after Ferland Mendy’s 86th-minute strike had given them a late win at Stadio di Bergamo last month.

Real Madrid enjoys a fine record against Italian opponents in Europe’s showpiece competition, winning 11 of their last 12 UCL face-offs against them. Their last defeat came in 2008 against Juventus. Watch Real Madrid vs Atalanta live.

On the other hand, Atalanta are facing a Spanish opponent in the UCL for just the second time, since their historic encounter against Valencia last term, where they prevailed with an 8-4 aggregate win.
