Defending champions Real Kashmir FC will lock horns with Sreenidi Deccan FC in the IFA Shield 2021 final at the East Bengal Ground in Kolkata on Wednesday, December 15. The IFA Shield 2021 final match will kick off at 1:30 PM IST.
David Robertson's Real Kashmir advanced to their second consecutive IFA Shield final following a 2-1 win over Gokulam Kerala FC in the first semi-final at the Kalyani Stadium.
The summit clash of the 124th edition of IFA Shield will witness the Snow Leopards face Sreenidi Deccan FC, who pipped Railway FC 2-1 in extra time in the other semi-final.
Real Kashmir defeated Indian Arrows 3-0 in their opening match of the group stage but fell to Calcutta Customs 0-1 in their second match. Afterwards, they defeated Bhawanipore 2-1 in the playoffs and then beat Mohammedan SC 1-0 in the quarter-finals.
In contrast, Sreenidi Deccan FC won its group-stage games, defeating Southern Samity (4-1) and Bhawanipore (1-0). With Fernando Santiago Varela at the helm, Deccan defeated Calcutta Customs 2-0 in the play-offs and George Telegraph 1-0 in the quarterfinals.
Real Kashmir will aim to defend their IFA Shield, which they won last season by beating George Telegraph in the final.
