The reigning world champions have made an impressive start to their FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying campaign.
Under head coach Lionel Scaloni, La Albiceleste will head into the clash after beating Paraguay 1-0 courtesy of a sensational strike from Nicolas Otamendi.
Earlier, Argentina began their campaign with another 1-0 victory over Ecuador, before registering a comprehensive 3-0 win against Bolivia.
With nine points from three matches, Argentina are placed at the top of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers Conmebol standings, two points ahead of arch-rivals Brazil.
On the other hand, the Peru national football team has struggled in their FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying campaign so far.
Juan Reynoso’s men were held to a goalless draw by Paraguay in their opening qualifying fixture.

Having failed to qualify for the previous edition of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Peru are once again languishing at ninth spot on the points table.
Meanwhile, Argentina captain Lionel Messi is expected to feature in the starting XI after getting some playing time in the second half against Paraguay.
