Netherlands vs Greece, UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifiers: Watch telecast and live streaming in India

The Netherlands national football team will lock horns with Greece in a crucial UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifiers match at the Philips Stadion in Eindhoven, Netherlands. The Group B match will kick off at 12:15 Indian Standard Time (IST) on Friday, September 8.

Under the tutelage of manager Ronald Koeman, the Netherlands will look to bounce back after suffering a 2-3 defeat against reigning UEFA European Championship winners Italy in the UEFA Nations League 2022-23 third-place playoff at the De Grolsch Veste in June.

Earlier, the Netherlands started their UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying campaign on a disappointing note as they succumbed to a 0-4 defeat against France. They later registered an impressive 3-0 win over Gibraltar in March.

Ronald Koeman’s men are currently placed fourth in the Group B standings with three points from two matches.

The Greece national football team, on the other hand, went down to France 0-1 in their last group match of the UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifiers.

Coached by former Uruguayan footballer Gus Poyet, Greece have already beaten Gibraltar 3-0, and later followed it up by defeating Republic of Ireland 2-1 in their first two matches of UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifiers.

With two wins and one defeat, Greece are placed second in the Group B standings with six points from two matches.

The likes of Frenkie de Jong, Virgil van Dijk, Matthijs de Ligt, Xavi Simons and Cody Gakpo could feature in the Netherlands’ starting XI against Greece.

For Greece, West Ham defender Konstantinos Mavropanos will miss the upcoming Euro qualifiers due to suspension.

Captain Tasos Bakasetas, Giorgos Masouras, Emmanouil Siopis and Petros Mantalos are expected to play a key role for Greece.

Netherlands vs Greece football head-to-head

The Netherlands have dominated Greece in international football, winning seven of the nine matches that they have played so far. Greece registered just a solitary victory, while the other match ended in a draw.

Greece duo Kostas Mitroglou and Giannis Gianniotas scored in their memorable 2-1 win over the Netherlands in their previous meeting in an international friendly in 2016.
