With Gladbach missing the services of Matthias Ginter, Kimmich could toy around with their defence alongside Marcel Sabitzer and Leroy Sane on either side of the Bayern midfield.

The absence of the injured Matthias Ginter means the pressure will fall on the shoulders of young centre-back Jordan Beyer. The 21-year-old has started six games in the Bundesliga this term and needs to stitch a rock-solid partnership with Nico Elvedi to halt the rampaging Robert Lewandowski.
When it comes to goalkeepers, Manuel Neuer is the first-choice pick. The Bayern captain has registered six clean sheets across all competitions this season and will look to keep the likes of Alassane Plea at bay on Thursday.
