The fact that Manchester City have lost each of their last four home games against Man United across all competitions is bemusing especially since the latter has struggled with consistency over the years. On Sunday though, we expect Pep Guardiola’s side to come out on top given the pressure they have of maintaining their top spot in the league standings.
Although Manchester United haven’t lost a Premier League game since January, the Red Devils haven’t been able to churn out the best results as well. In their last eight league outings, Ralf Rangnick’s men have won four and drawn the rest.
As far as City are concerned, they did lose to Tottenham recently but bounced back with a narrow 1-0 win over Everton. Given their recent run of form, Guardiola’s team is expected to do the league double over their city rivals for the second time under the Spaniard.

Manchester City’s Phil Foden, registered as a forward, has been in great form this season, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists across competitions. This includes two assists against Petersborough in their recent FA Cup win as well as a winner against Everton. Given Cristiano Ronaldo’s struggles in front of goal of late, the 21-year-old could prove to be a wise pick.

MCI’s Bernardo Silva loves playing against Manchester United, to say the least. The 27-year-old Portugal international has scored one goal in each of City’s last three wins over United in all competitions and considering his current form, Silva, who has 10 goals and three assists this season, is rightly expected to add more to his tally.
Top tip: Best defender and goalkeeper
Versatile defender Joao Cancelo has made it to the Dream Team in each of his last two league outings, accruing a total of 102 fantasy points in the process. The 27-year-old may have scored a solitary goal this season, but a return of five assists is something to take note of.
And for a goalkeeper, David De Gea could be a risky but worthwhile investment. While it’s unlikely that United will keep a clean sheet, De Gea’s recent form means that fantasy players could get bonus points through his saves as the Spaniard is expected to be under the pump.
