English teams Manchester United and Arsenal will play the first-leg of their UEFA Europa League semi-final against AS Roma and Villareal, respectively, in the wee hours of Friday.
Manchester United will be hosting Italy’s AS Roma at the Old Trafford while Arsenal take a trip to the Estadio de la Cerámica to face Spanish club, Villarreal.
The Red Devils are unbeaten in the UEL, having knocked out AC Milan, Real Sociedad and Granada to book a spot in the final four for the third time in five years.
In the six previous Manchester United vs AS Roma fixtures, the English side has come out on top four times and lost just once.
In the Premier League, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men have consolidated the second position on the table with a 13-match unbeaten streak.
They will be banking on the potent trio of Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba to give them the advantage in the first leg of the semi-final.
Roma, meanwhile, have struggled for points in recent times, winning just once in their last seven Serie A matches.
The Giallorossi have Edin Dzeko and Jordan Veretout in their ranks, who are fully capable of pulling off a victory.
Anthony Martial and Phil Jones will be the only absentees for United while Roma will miss the services of former Chelsea player Pedro, Riccardo Calafiori, Nicolo Zaniolo and suspended centre-back Gianluca Mancini.
💬 "Semi-finals aren't easy. We've had some disappointments which we'll use as motivation," says @LukeShaw23.

Meanwhile, in Spain, Arsenal will be up against their former manager Unai Emery.
The 2019 UEL finalists, Arsenal will aim to put aside their Premier League woes and put up a strong fight against Villarreal.
The Gunners’ manager Mikel Arteta revealed that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Kieran Tierney are ready for the match after being out of action for some time.
“They are all in contention, all of them - including Aubameyang, Laca and Kieran,” Arteta revealed at the pre-match press conference.
