Premier League giants Manchester City and Chelsea will clash in the UEFA Champions League 2020-21 final on Sunday, May 30, at the Estádio do Dragão in Portugal.
Both the English clubs have already secured a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League. While Manchester City won the title in the recently concluded Premier League season, Chelsea managed to claim fourth place on the last day.
Pep Guardiola's men have had a perfect UEFA Champions League campaign this season so far with the Cityzens yet to lose a game in the competition. Apart from a goalless draw against FC Porto in the group stage, City have won all their matches.
Chelsea, on the other hand, had started their UCL campaign with a draw against Sevilla FC and lost away at FC Porto in the quarter-finals second leg before advancing to the semis on aggregate. They overcame Real Madrid in the semi-finals to set up a final date with domestic rivals Man City.
The Blues have had the better of the Manchester City vs Chelsea head-to-head with the London team winning 43 and losing 31 of the 93 encounters. Thomas Tuchel's men have won their last two matches against Manchester City in the league and the FA Cup semi-final.
This will, however, be the first time that Manchester City will face Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League. Watch Manchester City vs Chelsea live!
