Four matchweeks into the J1 League 2021 season and there are only two teams who are yet to drop points so far, with Kawasaki Frontale leading the points table, followed by Nagoya Grampus in the second.

Japan’s premier football competition, the J1 League is a 20-team competition, and defending champions Kawasaki Frontale have made a blistering start. They have won all their opening five games while also scoring 13 goals and conceding just three.

Matchweek 5, however, represents a big challenge for the reigning champions as they square off against Vissel Kobe, a team led by the former Barcelona marksman, Andres Iniesta. The good thing for Kawasaki though remains the fact that Iniesta will not be available for selection, as he is nursing an injury.

Meanwhile, second-placed Nagoya square off against bottom-placed Yokohama FC, who are one of the four teams to have yet to win a game this season.
