The Guwahati Premier Football League 2024 began on November 22 and will run till December 22 in Guwahati, Assam.

Organized by the Guwahati Sports Association (GSA), the Guwahati Premier Football League 2024 will see as many as 16 teams compete in the tournament.

As per the GPFL 2024 format, these participating teams have been divided into two groups of eight teams each in the second edition of the league.

Group A has ASEB Sports Club, DBI, FC Green Valley, Gauhati Town Club, G Plus Athletic, Oil India Limited, Sports Authority of India and United Chirang Duar FC.

Assam Police, Barekuri FC, North East Frontier Railways SA, NorthEast United FC, Numaligarh Refinery Limited, Pride East Entertainment, Red Bees Inc and  Sunrise Athletic Club are clubbed in Group B.

Each team will play the other sides in their group once in a single round-robin format. The top two teams in each group after all league matches will qualify for the semi-finals.

The two semi-finals are scheduled to be played on December 20 while the final will be held on December 22.

All GPFL 2024 matches will be played at Judges Field in Guwahati, Assam. 

DBI won the inaugural edition of the Guwahati Premier Football League after they pipped Barekuri FC 7-6 on penalties in the final in January.

The league has a budget of nearly INR 2 crore this year while the winner will receive a cash prize of INR 30 lakh.

Live streaming of the Guwahati Premier Football League 2024 will be available on the FanCode app and website.

There will be no live telecast of the GPFL 2024 on any TV channel in India.
