Eintracht Frankfurt (FRK) will host in-form FC Barcelona (BAR) in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League 2021-22 quarter-final clash at the Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt, Germany on Friday, April 8. The match will kick off at 12:30 AM IST.
Under the tutelage of manager Oliver Glasner, Eintracht Frankfurt defeated Real Betis 3-2 on aggregate in the UEFA Europa round of 16 to secure their place in the quarter-finals.
On the other hand, Barcelona qualified for the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals after pipping Galatasaray 2-1 on aggregate.
FRK vs BAR Dream11 prediction
Eintracht Frankfurt have failed to rediscover their attacking prowess recently, managing just a solitary win and four draws in their last five matches. The German outfit head into the upcoming Europa League fixture after playing a goalless draw against bottom-placed Furth in the Bundesliga over the weekend.
Meanwhile, Barcelona have been in impressive form recently and are currently on a 14-match unbeaten streak in all competitions since losing to Athletic Bilbao in the Copa Del Rey in January. The Catalans will be brimming with confidence after securing a 1-0 win over Sevilla in the La Liga on Monday.
While this will be the first meeting between Eintracht Frankfurt and Barcelona in Europe, the Catalans will start as favourites in the UEFA Europa League quarter-final clash on Friday.
FRK vs BAR Dream11 team tips for UEFA Europa League 2021-22
Top tip: Best forward
Since his transfer from Arsenal in January, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been in scintillating form for FC Barcelona. The 32-year-old forward has netted nine goals in 12 matches so far including a hat-trick against Valencia and a brace against arch-rivals Real Madrid. Aubameyang also scored the winner against Napoli in their UEFA Europa League round of 16 and will look to add to his tally on Friday. Aubameyang has already accumulated 152 fantasy points and is a must-have fantasy pick against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Top tip: Best midfielder
Frenkie de Jong has also been in stunning form for FC Barcelona in the ongoing season. Under new manager Xavi, the Netherlands international has registered four goals and as many assists in all competitions. Having already accrued 197 fantasy points, Frenkie de Jong will be a worthy fantasy pick for any side in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League quarter-final clash.
Top tip: Best defender and goalkeeper
Among defenders, picking FC Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba in any fantasy team is a no-brainer. Alba has found his mojo back this season, scoring two goals and providing nine assists in all competitions so far. The Spanish defender has already amassed 209 fantasy points and will be a great pick for this clash at 9.5 credits.
Between the sticks, FC Barcelona’s Marc-Andre Ter Stegen will be the preferred choice over his Eintracht Frankfurt counterpart Kevin Trapp. Ter Stegen has played a pivotal role in helping Barcelona secure 14 victories on the trot this season. He will once again play an important role against Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday.
