The FIFA Club World Cup 2023 is scheduled to start on December 12 and run till December 22 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Organised by football’s global governing body FIFA, the FIFA Club World Cup 2023 will see as many as seven top men's teams compete for the coveted title. The upcoming 20th edition of the FIFA Club World Cup will be the last seven-team competition before the tournament is expanded to 32 teams in 2025.
As per the FIFA Club World format, six continental champions including winners of the AFC Champions League, CAF Champions League, CONCACAF Champions League, Copa Libertadores, OFC Champions League and UEFA Champions League qualify for the marquee football competition. Apart from these six, the host nation's national league champions also feature in the tournament.
FIFA Club World Cup 2023 qualified teams
The seven teams that have qualified for the FIFA Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia are:
- Manchester City (UEFA Champions League 2022-23 winner)
- Club León (CONCACAF Champions League 2023 winner)
- Urawa Red Diamonds (AFC Champions League 2022-23 winner)
- Fluminense FC (Copa Libertadores 2023 winner)
- Auckland City FC (OFC Champions League 2023 winner)
- Al Ahly FC (CAF Champions League 2022-23 winner)
- Al-Ittihad FC (Saudi Pro League winner)
As per the schedule, Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad FC will face the OFC Champions League 2023 winner for a place in the second round.
The winner of the Al Ittihad vs Auckland City match will lock horns with Egypt’s Al Ahly SC in the second round.
Mexican outfit Club Leon will square off against J1 League side Urawa Reds Diamonds in the other second round match.
The two winners in the second round will advance to the semi-finals. Reigning UEFA Champions League winner Manchester City and Copa Libertadores 2023 winner Fluminense FC have sealed their spots in the semi-finals.
King Abdullah Sports City Stadium and Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium are the two venues that will host FIFA Club World Cup 2023 matches.
Defending champions Real Madrid are the most successful team in the tournament’s history with five titles.
However, they will not feature in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup after being knocked out by Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League 2022-23 semi-finals.

Live streaming of FIFA Club World Cup 2023 matches will be available on the FanCode app and website in India. It will also be live streamed on FIFA+.
There will be no live telecast of FIFA Club World Cup 2023 on any TV channel in India.
