In the ongoing international break, Italy defeated Malta 4-0 at the Stadio San Nicola to establish their grip on the second position in Group C of the qualifiers, while England beat Australia 1-0 in a friendly match through Ollie Watkins’ second-half strike.

England and Italy also played in the UEFA Euro 2021 final at Wembley, where the Gli Azzurri won on penalties.
