The England national football team will host Bosnia and Herzegovina in an international friendly at St. James' Park in Newcastle, England.
The England vs Bosnia football international friendly will start at 12:15 AM IST on Tuesday, June 4. Live streaming and telecast of the match will be available in India.
Under head coach Gareth Southgate, England will play two international friendlies before leaving for Germany for UEFA Euro 2024.
Apart from squaring off against Bosnia, the Three Lions are scheduled to face Iceland at the Wembley Stadium on June 7 (June 8 as per IST).
Interestingly, England are winless in their previous two friendlies in 2024. Gareth Southgate’s men succumbed to a 0-1 defeat against Brazil in their first match of the year at Wembley.
Three days later, they were later held to a 2-2 draw by Belgium at the same venue.
Meanwhile, England will announce their 26-man squad for Euro 2024 from the provisional 33-man squad after this fixture.
The hosts will miss several of their star players against Bosnia at St. James' Park.
The likes of Bukayo Saka, John Stones, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Anthony Gordon will not feature in the upcoming friendly.
Captain Harry Kane is also not expected to start against Bosnia due to a back injury. In his absence, star defender Kieran Trippier will lead the side.
On the other hand, the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team will aim to end their four-match losing streak.
Led by new head coach Sergej Barbarez, Bosnia will look to bounce back after suffering a 1-2 loss against Ukraine in their final Euro 2024 qualifying game in March.
Earlier, Bosnia finished second-from-bottom in Group J after registering just three wins and suffering seven defeats in Euro 2024 qualifiers.
Despite a dismal Euro 2024 qualifiers campaign, Bosnia somehow managed to secure a playoff semi-final clash with Ukraine with their Nations League performance.
Ahead of the international friendly against England, Bosnia have included several uncapped players in their squad. The visitors will be led by veteran striker Edin Dzeko.
However, Bosnia will miss the services of experienced defenders Sead Kolasinac and Ermin Bicakcic due to injuries.
