Arguably one of the most anticipated fixtures of the 2020-21 Indian Super League (ISL) season, East Bengal vs ATK Mohun Bagan, to be played at Tilak Maidan Stadium, on November 27, promises to be a cracker. This will be the first Kolkata Derby in the ISL.
ATK Mohun Bagan have already played a game in the ISL 2020-21 campaign, defeating Kerala Blasters 1-0 in the season opener. East Bengal, on the other hand, are the only team yet to open their account. Watch East Bengal vs ATK Mohun Bagan live on streaming and on TV.
East Bengal squad
Now under the management of Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler, East Bengal underwent several changes for the new season. Apart from acquiring veteran Indian names like C.K Vineeth, Balwant Singh and Jeje Lalpekhlua among others, the Red and Gold Brigade also roped in seasoned foreign campaigners in Danny Fox, Scott Neville, Matti Steinmann and Anthony Pilkington.
The fact that ATK Mohun Bagan have the required match fitness might work in their favour, but one just cannot underestimate the firepower East Bengal will bring in India’s premier football competition, particularly for the Kolkata Derby.

ATK Mohun Bagan squad
ATK Mohun Bagan were evidently struggling, especially in the attack, without their star striker David Williams. The 32-year-old Australia international was named on the bench against Kerala Blasters and that explains why ATK Mohun Bagan took fewer shots than their opponents on November 20.
Not only did they struggle in attack, but they were also impotent in keeping the hold of the ball. The team had, in fact, a mere 32 per cent possession on the night. A win, however, is a win, regardless of how or by how many.
