Following the completion of the group stage, the Durand Cup 2023 knockout stage will start on August 24.
A total of eight teams have qualified for the Durand Cup 2023 quarter-finals and will battle for the coveted title.
East Bengal FC, Mumbai City FC, Gokulam Kerala FC, FC Goa, Chennaiyin FC and Indian Army FT booked their place in the quarter-finals after topping their respective groups in the 132nd edition of the prestigious tournament. On the other hand, Mohun Bagan Super Giant and NorthEast United FC have secured their knockout berths as the two best second-placed teams from the group stage.
Group F topper Indian Army FC will lock horns with NorthEast United FC in the first Durand 2023 quarter-final at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati.
Having finished at the top of Group A standings, Indian football giants East Bengal FC will host I-League outfit Gokulam Kerala FC in the second quarter-final at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata.
In the other two Durand Cup 2023 quarter-finals, Group D topper FC Goa will face ISL rivals Chennaiyin FC in Guwahati, while Group B toppers Mumbai City FC will square off against nemesis Mohun Bagan Super Giant in Kolkata.
Meanwhile, the Durand Cup 2023 semi-finals will be played at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan on August 29th and 31st.
The Durand Cup 2023 final is scheduled to be held at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan on September 3.
The Durand Cup 2023 knockout stage will not have extra time. After 90 minutes, teams will directly compete in a penalty shootout.
Bengaluru FC are the defending champions of the Durand Cup, having defeated Mumbai City FC 2-1 in the 2022 final.
