Cameroon (CMR) take on Ivory Coast (IVR) in their final group stage match of the second round of FIFA World Cup 2022 African qualifiers at Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in the early hours of Wednesday, November 17.

After five rounds of fixtures, Ivory Coast have one foot in the third round as they are sitting at the top of the table with four wins and one draw. Cameroon, on the other hand, are second with only one point separating them from IVR after having lost one of their five matches.
Besides that one defeat, there’s absolutely nothing to separate the two teams as both have a goal difference of +8. For Cameroon, anything but a win would end their campaign right away, meaning that IVR wouldn’t mind settling for a draw. We expect this game to go to Ivory Coast’s favour.

IVR forward Sebastien Haller was on the scoresheet the last time these two sides met. The Ajax frontman scored two goals as his side registered a 2-1 victory which has made all the difference to the points table. Come Wednesday, the 27-year-old is most likely to get on the scoresheet again.
Top tip: Best midfielder
Franck Kessie of IVR is in fine form of late. The 24-year-old Milan midfielder has scored one goal in the qualifiers so far and has acted as the anchor for his team. While he may not have scored as many goals as he would have hoped, the crunching tackles and timely interceptions have made him an asset for the fantasy managers.
Top tip: Best defender and goalkeeper
IVR captain Serge Aurier could be a decent option to go with. The former Tottenham right-back is expected to line right behind Nicolas Pepe and will be an absolute threat going forward. Considering his style of play, he could prove out to be a coup.
As for a keeper, CMR’s Andre Onana should find a place in your team. The Ajax goalkeeper, who recently returned following a long doping ban, will be heavily tested by a surging IVR attack and more saves would result in more points.
