Chile (CHI) will welcome a confident Brazil (BRA) football team at Estadio Monumental David Arellano for their CONMEBOL World Cup qualifier match on Friday, September 3 at 6:30 AM IST.
CHI vs BRA Dream11 prediction
Brazil have been exceptional in their world cup qualifiers, winning all of their six matches so far. Chile, on the other hand, have been anything but with just a solitary win in the qualifiers that places them seventh in the standings.
Since their first-ever meeting in 1916, the two teams have played 73 matches, with Brazil winning a whopping 52 and losing just eight. Selecao’s last defeat against Chile dates back to October 2015 when goals from Eduardo Vargas and Alexis Sanchez guided them to a 2-0 win.
Brazil are set to be without several first-team members which include the likes of Alisson, Ederson, Thiago Silva, Fabinho, Gabriel Jesus and Richarlison. The team, however, still has a lot of firepower to win their seventh match of the qualifiers.
CHI vs BRA Dream11 team tips for CONMEBOL World Cup qualifier
Top tip: Best forward
BRA’s Neymar has scored five goals in the qualifiers so far and he is expected to be the biggest goal threat against Chile. The forward has also assisted four goals and remains a must-have player for all fantasy managers. He is also a smart choice for the captaincy.
Top tip: Best midfielder
Lucas Paqueta scored the winning goal against Chile the last time these two teams met to give Brazil a passage to the semi-final of Copa America 2021. With many first-team members missing, the 24-year-old attacking midfielder is expected to play an important role on Friday.
Top tip: Best defender and goalkeeper
Brazil right-back Dani Alves could be a trump card for fantasy managers. With Chile struggling to keep clean sheets, picking a defender from their squad would be a gamble. Alves has always enjoyed playing alongside Neymar in the past and it wouldn’t come as a surprise if the duo combine for goals on Friday.
While Brazil are most likely to keep a clean sheet, Chile goalkeeper Claudio Bravo should be picked ahead of his opposite number mostly due to his experience, his ability to make reaction saves and a proven track record of saving penalties, which could be a bonus for fantasy managers.
