Monaco playmaker Cesc Fabregas revealed that he could have been on the verge of joining Manchester United in the summer of 2013, and also held talks with then manager David Moyes when he was looking to move out of Barcelona. In a Twitter Q&A interaction with his fans, Fabregas replied to a tweet asking about his Manchester United links back in the day by saying ‘I wouldn’t say close but I did talk to David Moyes a couple of times.

The deal with Manchester United however never materialised, as Fabregas was signed up by 2012 Champions League winners Chelsea instead. He went on to win two league titles and a league cup title as well, before being sold to Monaco in the winter transfer window of 2019.

Fabregas also spoke highly of his time at Arsenal, revealing that Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey were amongst the most promising talents he has ever played with in his career. He also took a sly dig at London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, revealing that his favourite goal in the Premier League could be any of those he scored against the Lilywhites.

The 32-year-old also revealed his favourite stadium in Europe; and made a few hilarious revelations about the Pizzagate incident. Here are the best tweets from the former Arsenal captain’s Twitter interaction session.
He has his tactics and he dies with them. He’s not very flexible let’s say but he’s a good man with a good heart. https://t.co/yIZEO37QRJ
