Under head coach Ian Andrew Gillan, Calicut FC qualified for the SLK 2024 final after they pipped Thiruvananthapuram Kombans FC 2-1 in the first semi-final at the EMS Corporation Stadium on Tuesday, November 5.
After Autemar Bispo converted a penalty to give Thiruvananthapuram Kombans a 1-0 lead, substitute striker John Kennedy equalised for Calicut FC in the 60th minute. Later, Gani Ahmed netted the match-winning goal in the 72nd minute to guide Calicut FC to the first-ever Super League Kerala final.
Earlier, Calicut FC were also the most dominant team in the Super League Kerala 2024 league phase after they finished on top of the table with five wins, four draws and just a solitary loss with 19 points from 10 matches.
On the other hand, Forca Kochi FC stormed into the inaugural Super League Kerala final after they secured a 2-0 win over Kannur Warriors FC in the other semi-final at the EMS Corporation Stadium on Wednesday, November 6.

Under the tutelage of head coach Mario Lemos, Forca Kochi FC earlier booked their place in the semi-finals after finishing second on the Super League Kerala 2024 points table. Having registered four wins, four draws and two defeats, Forca Kochi claimed second spot with 16 points courtesy of a better goal difference than third-placed Kannur Warriors FC as they also accumulated 16 points from 10 games.
