Defending Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich will resume their 2020-21 campaign with a crucial clash against title contenders RB Leipzig in matchweek 27.
League leaders Bayern Munich (61 points) are ahead of second-placed RB Leipzig (57) by just four points and any points dropped by Bayern on Saturday fixture will open up the title race for the remaining seven matches of the season.
A big blow for Bayern Munich has been the injury to their talismanic striker Robert Lewandowski. The Polish international, who is currently the Bundesliga top-scorer with 35 goals, sprained the ligament of his right knee during the international break and has been ruled out for four weeks. Matchweek 27 brings yet another chance for Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund to get their topsy-turvy season back on track. The runners-up from last season have been struggling for form with just three wins in their last five league games.
Dortmund (43 points), who sit fifth in the Bundesliga points table, will face fourth-placed Eintracht Frankfurt (47 points) looking for a desperate win to keep their UEFA Champions League dream alive for the next season.
