Match 88 of the Indian Super League 2021-22 season will see a confident Bengaluru FC (BFC) side going head to head with league leaders Hyderabad FC (HFC) at the GMC Athletic Stadium in Bambolim on Friday, February 11. The match will start at 7:30 PM IST.
BFC vs HFC Dream11 prediction
The two teams have already squared off once in the ongoing season in a match that saw a Bartholomew Ogbeche goal making the difference. A lot has changed since that result though.
Bangalore FC, who had a troubled start to the ISL 2021-22 season, are currently on a nine-game unbeaten run (W5, D4) while HFC have lost two of their last six games. Despite the results though, the Nizams have been extremely clinical in front of the goal, scoring 14 times in those six games.
Bengaluru FC and Hyderabad FC have played a total of five games in the past, with both teams winning one each. As many as three matches have ended without a winner.
Come Friday, one can expect BFC to build on their winning momentum with a victory over Hyderabad.
BFC vs HFC Dream11 team tips for Indian Super League 2021-22
Top tip: Best striker
HFC frontman Bartholomew Ogbeche is the outright pick for a striker. The 37-year-old former Mumbai City FC forward has scored an impressive 14 goals, resulting in a tally of 894 fantasy points. It’s also worth noting that he has made it to the Dream Team in two of his last four matches.
Top tip: Best midfielder
HFC’s Joao Victor remains the safest option to go with for this match. The 33-year-old Brazilian has accrued 610 fantasy points so far and like his teammate Ogbeche, has been selected in the Dream Team in two of his last four matches. He’s scored thrice and provided an assist this season.
Top tip: Best defender and goalkeeper
Naorem Roshan Singh of Bengaluru FC has been an absolute revelation this season. The 23-year-old full-back has accumulated 584 fantasy points and while it is considerably lower than HFC’s Akash Mishra’s tally of 633 points, the fact remains that the 23-year-old has enjoyed a better run of form of late. In his last four outings, Roshan has tallied 233 fantasy points. He’s found the back on the net once this season besides also providing six assists.
For a goalkeeper, HFC’s Laxmikant Kattimani is a preferred choice over BFC’s Gurpreet Singh Sandhu solely because the latter hasn’t been as effective in front of the goal as the HFC custodian. Even though Gurpreet is a more household name in Indian football, Kattimani has fared well in front of goal for HFC this season.
BFC vs HFC probable playing XI
BFC playing XI (probable): Gurpreet Singh Sandhu (goalkeeper); Parag Shrivas, Pratik Chaudhari, Wungngayam Muirang, Naorem Roshan Singh; Iman Basafa, Bruno Ramires, Suresh Singh Wangjam; Udanta Singh, Prince Ibara, Sunil Chhetri
HFC playing XI (probable): Laxmikant Kattimani (goalkeeper); Asish Rai, Chinglensana Singh, Juanan, Akash Mishra; Joao Victor (captain), Souvik Chakrabarti; Nikhil Poojari, Edu García, Aniket Jadhav; Bartholomew Ogbeche
