Two-time champions Chennaiyin FC (CFC) take on Bengaluru FC (BFC) in match 72 of the Indian Super League 2021-22 season at the GMC Athletic Stadium in Bambolim on Wednesday, January 26. The fixture will kick off at 7:30 PM IST.
BFC vs CFC Dream11 prediction
Unbeaten since their 1-2 defeat to FC Goa last month, Bengaluru FC have scored 12 goals in their last six ISL games while conceding only seven. Despite that though, the Blues have only managed two victories as the other four games ended without a winner.
Chennaiyin FC, on the other hand, are battling for the final playoff berth and like BFC, have been extremely inconsistent in their recent outings. Come Wednesday, we expect this game to either end in a draw or BFC coming out victorious given their current form and past record against the Marina Machans.
The Bengaluru FC vs Chenaniyin FC head-to-head record has seen the Blues winning a total of five out of 10 meetings. CFC, on their part, have won just three. The Blues have, in fact, won four of their last six games against CFC while drawing twice. Chennai’s last win over Bengaluru dates back to February 2019.
BFC vs CFC Dream11 team tips for Indian Super League 2021-22
Top tip: Best forward
BFC’s Cleiton Silva is the outright pick for the striker spot in your fantasy team. The 34-year-old forward has scored five goals this season, resulting in a tally of 538 fantasy points. At 10 credits, Cleiton’s an expensive investment, but it goes without saying that he is worth every penny.
Top tip: Best midfielder
Selected by 93.65 per cent of fantasy players, CFC’s Vladimir Koman makes for a solid recommendation for this game. The former Sampdoria and Monaco midfielder has 478 fantasy points this season and has made it to the Dream Team in each of his last three outings.
Top tip: Best defender and goalkeeper
Naorem Roshan Singh of BFC has been selected by 75.39 per cent of fantasy players having been named in the Dream Team in four of his last five matches, accumulating a tally of 198 points from those fixtures. Needless to say, given the form he is in, the 22-year-old defender, who has provided five assists this season, should be picked ahead of anyone else.
Meanwhile, CFC’s Debjit Majumder would be our recommendation for a goalkeeper simply because of his return of 154 fantasy points from his last four outings. His tally is considerably better than BFC’s Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, who has not been enjoying the best of seasons.
BFC vs CFC probable playing XI
BFC playing XI (probable): Gurpreet Singh Sandhu (goalkeeper), Naorem Roshan Singh, Pratik Chaudhari, Alan Costa, Ashique Kuruniyan, Suresh Singh, Bruno Ramires, Danish Farooq Bhat, Prince Ibara, Cleiton Silva, Sunil Chhetri (captain)
CFC playing XI (probable): Debjit Majumder (goalkeeper), Sajid Dhot, Slavko Damjanovic, Narayan Das, Ninthoinganba Meetei, Anirudh Thapa (captain), Vladimir Koman, Edwin Vanspaul, Jerry Lalrinzuala, Mirlan Murzaev, Nerijus Valskis
