FC Barcelona will host Rayo Vallecano in their opening match of La Liga 2022-23 season at Camp Nou on August 14.

Under head coach Xavi, Barcelona will look to clinch their first La Liga title since the 2018-19 season. The Catalan outfit finished second last season with 73 points from 38 matches, 13 points behind champions Real Madrid.

After hosting Rayo Vallecano, Barcelona will travel to San Sebastián to play Real Sociedad on August 21 before taking on Real Valladolid at Camp Nou on August 28.

In September, Barcelona are scheduled to play back-to-back away games against Sevilla (September 4) and Cadiz (September 11) followed by their home game against Elche on the 18th.

Ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, scheduled to be held in November and December, Barcelona will play six La Liga matches in October and two in November before selected players will join their respective national camps.

Meanwhile, Barcelona will lock horns with arch-rivals Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu in the first El Clasico of the season on October 16 while the reverse fixture will be played at Camp Nou on March 19, 2023.

After the conclusion of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Barcelona will resume their La Liga 2022-23 campaign against rivals Espanyol at Camp Nou on December 31.

The Blaugrana will play four fixtures in January including an away match against Atletico Madrid at Wanda Metropolitano on the 8th.

With only seven games scheduled for the months of February and March, Barcelona will play as many as six games in April and five matches in May.

Xavi’s men will conclude their La Liga season against Osasuna at Camp Nou on June 4.
