Top tip: Best midfielder
Frenkie de Jong will be the one to keep an eye on in midfield. In what has been a rather troubling season for Barcelona, de Jong has been a bright spark and has provided two assists in La Liga. If others can match his wavelength, the midfielder can really pose a big threat from the center of the park to Atletico’s solid backline.
Top tip: Best defender and goal-keeper
With Jordi Alba out, one can pick Atletico’s Mario Hermoso as their top defensive choice. The 26-year-old versatile defender has provided one assist so far in the competition and will be a tough nut to crack for Barcelona’s beleaguered attackers.
As for a goalkeeper, Jan Oblak remains the outright choice. With Barcelona struggling in the attacking third, Oblak is likely to keep a clean sheet as even an in-form forward line usually finds it difficult to beat the Atletico custodian.
