Premier League champions Manchester City will lock horns with local rivals Arsenal in the FA Community Shield 2023 final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, August 6. The Arsenal vs Manchester City FA Community Shield 2023 match will start at 8:30 PM IST.
The FA Community Shield is the annual curtain-raiser of the new England football season contested between the winners of the Premier League and FA Cup holders. In case, the Premier League winner also won the FA Cup, the league runners-up compete in the FA Community Shield final.
Under coach Pep Guardiola, City head into the new season after bagging the treble last season. Apart from winning the Premier League title, the Citizens clinched the FA Cup as well as the UEFA Champions League.

Pep Guardiola’s men travelled to Asia for their pre-season tour 2023. They started their pre-season tour with a 5-3 win over Japanese outfit Yokohama F. Marinos, before beating Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich 2-1 in Japan.
However, City succumbed to their first defeat of the pre-season as they went down 1-2 to La Liga side Atletico Madrid.
With City winning both Premier League and FA Cup last season, Arsenal took the spot of the opposition in the FA Community Shield 2023.
Arsenal provided strong opposition to City’s title challenge last season and will look to clinch their first Premier League title since 2004.
The Gunners will be high on confidence after beating Monaco 5-4 on penalties to win the Emirates Cup 2023.
Earlier, Mikel Arteta travelled to the United States for their pre-season. They thrashed MLS All-Stars 5-0 in their pre-season 2023 opener but lost to rivals Manchester United 0-2.
Arsenal later bounced back to beat reigning La Liga champions Barcelona 5-3 in their last game in the US.
While Liverpool are the defending champions of the FA Community Shield, Manchester United are the most successful team with 21 titles.
Arsenal are second on the list with 16 trophies while City have won six FA Community Shield titles so far.
