Al Nassr FC will host Al-Taawoun FC in a King’s Cup 2024-25 round of 16 match at the Al Awwal Park in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on October 29.

Organised by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, the King’s Cup 2024-25 is the 50th edition of the domestic knockout cup competition.
The King’s Cup 2024-25 started off on September 22 with a total of 32 teams, 18 from the Saudi Pro League and 14 from the Saudi First Division League, the second tier in Saudi Arabia football.
The tournament consists of a total of 31 single-legged knock-out matches with opponents decided based on draws picked by the federation. Matches that are undecided at the end of regulation time and extra time will be sealed by penalties.
Al Nassr won their opening round of 32 match of King’s Cup 2024-25 against second-tier side Al Hazm by a 2-1 margin with Nawaf Boushal scoring a stoppage-time winner for Al Nassr. Sadio Mane also found the net in the first half of the contest.
Meanwhile, Al-Taawoun scored a thrilling 3-2 win against Abha FC, another tier two side, in the first round of King’s Cup 2024-25. The match went into extra time after both teams were tied at 1-1 after regulation time.
Al Nassr comes into the contest on the back of a high-scoring 3-3 draw at Al Kholood in the Saudi Pro League on Friday. The Cristiano Ronaldo-led side are yet to be beaten in the domestic league this season and are third in the points table with 18 points from five wins and three draws.
Aymeric Laporte has been in fine form for Al Nassr scoring in all their last three matches, including in their 1-0 win against Esteghlal in the AFC Champions League on Tuesday.
Al-Taawoun are currently eighth in the Saudi Pro League with 11 points from seven matches.

Al Nassr have met Al-Taawoun in 33 matches across all competitions with Al Nassr winning on 22 occasions. Al-Taawoun have won six games while five have ended in draws.
In their most recent encounter in August 2024, Al Nassr beat Al-Taawoun 2-0 in the Saudi Super Cup semi-final.
