Saudi Pro League giants Al-Nassr will host Qatari football club Al-Rayyan in their second AFC Champions League Elite 2024-25 match at the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The AFC Champions League Elite 2024-25 is the 43rd edition of Asia's premier club football tournament.
Organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the revamped AFC Champions League Elite will see as many as 24 teams compete in the inaugural edition of the competition.
As per the AFC Champions League Elite 2024-25 format, these 24 teams have been divided into 12-team leagues in East and West Asia, with each team playing eight games against different opponents after a computer-assisted draw in the brand new league phase.
The top eight teams from each region will advance to the Round of 16. The final stage of the AFC Champions League Elite 2024-25 will be played in Saudi Arabia from April 25 to May 4.
The winner of the inaugural AFC Champions League Elite will qualify for the FIFA Intercontinental Cup 2025 and FIFA Club World Cup.
Furthermore, the AFC Champions League Elite winner will enter the league stage of the AFC Champions League Elite 2025-25, if they have not already qualified through domestic performance.
Meanwhile, Al-Nassr began their AFC Champions League Elite 2024-25 campaign with a 1-1 draw against Iraqi outfit Al-Shorta at the Al-Madina Stadium in Baghdad, Iraq on September 16.
Right-back Sultan Al-Ghannam gave Al-Nassr an early lead in the 14th minute. However, the visitors conceded as Mohammed Dawood Yaseen scored for Al-Shorta 10 minutes later.
Under newly-appointed head coach Stefano Pioli, Al-Nassr will head into the AFC Champions League Elite fixture high on confidence as they beat Al Wehda FC 2-0 in a Saudi Pro League 2024-25 clash.
Ângelo Gabriel and captain Cristiano Ronaldo netted a goal each to help Al-Nassr bag maximum points from the fixture.
With 11 points from five matches, Al-Nassr jumped to third in the Saudi Pro League 2024-25 standings.
On the other hand, Al-Rayyan will aim to bounce back after they suffered a 1-3 defeat against another Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal in their AFC Champions League Elite 2024-25 opener on September 17.
Sergej Milinković-Savić, João Cancelo and Marcos Leonardo scored for Al-Hilal while Róger Guedes netted a consolation goal for Al-Rayyan.
Led by new head coach Younes Ali, Al-Rayyan have also lost to Al-Arabi SC (1-2) and Al-Wakrah SC (0-2) in their previous two fixtures in the ongoing Qatar Stars League.
Having registered two wins and four losses, Al-Rayyan are currently placed ninth in the Qatar Stars League 2024-25 standings with six points on the board.
