Thiago Motta and Juventus have parted ways

Nine months after joining Juventus as the new manager, Thiago Motta is already out of the job. This comes after two embarrassing results, a 0-4 loss to Atalanta and a 0-3 defeat to Fiorentina.
Motta had a successful stint with Bologna from 2022 to 2024, but the 42-year-old did not meet Juve’s high standards. They were knocked out of the Champions League by PSV Eindhoven and slid to fifth in the Serie A table.
Tudor is the new Juve head coach
Amidst this shaky 2024-25 campaign, rumours were already floating about Motta’s sacking. The two blowout losses confirmed he needed to go, so Juve chose a different direction with a new head coach.
The club has appointed Igor Tudor, a former Juve player from Croatia. He spent nine years with the club from 1998 to 2007 and served as an assistant coach at Juventus under Andrea Pirlo during the 2020/21 season.
