Manchester United hold the record for most away wins in the Premier League. The Red Devils have won a whopping 300 league matches away from home, making them the first team to reach the landmark.
The 13-time Premier League champions capped off their 300th away Premier League win with a fine performance against Brentford on February 20, 2022. The likes of Anthony Elanga, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford got on the scoresheet as United beat the newly-promoted side 3-1 at the Brentford Community Stadium.
Since 1992, a total of 49 teams have played in the Premier League and United have defeated a whopping 47 of them away from home. Of all the teams to ever play in the Premier League, only Huddersfield Town and Swindon Town are undefeated against United on the road.
United have recorded 17 away wins at Villa Park (Aston Villa) and Goodison Park (Everton); the joint-most league victories for the club on the road. This is followed by 14 wins at St James’ Park (Newcastle United) and 12 wins apiece at Anfield (Liverpool) and Tottenham Hotspur’s old ground White Hart Lane.
United’s biggest league victory away from home came against Nottingham Forest in February 1999. Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke scored two goals each while former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer put four goals past Dave Beasant inside 12 minutes to cap off an 8-1 win.
Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney has scored the most goals on the road (62) during United’s 300 away wins. The former striker is followed by Ryan Giggs (55), Paul Scholes (42), Ruud van Nistelrooy (40) and Andy Cole (39).
After Manchester United, Chelsea have recorded the most away wins in the Premier League. The Blues have won 259 league games on the road. Arsenal sit third with 246 wins followed by Liverpool (239 wins) and Manchester City (188 wins).
