Cristiano Ronaldo is widely regarded as one of the greatest football players of all-time and the talismanic forward has further enhanced his reputation after joining Saudi Pro League giants Al-Nassr FC.

The Portuguese footballer became the highest-paid footballer in the world after he signed a new two-and-a-half-year deal with Al Nassr as a free agent that will keep him at the Saudi club until 2025.

Having joined Al-Nassr in January 2023, Cristiano Ronaldo then made his debut for Al-Nassr as a club captain in their 1-0 win against Al-Ettifaq FC in a Saudi Pro League 2022-23 clash.

Later in February, the Madeira-born footballer scored his first goal for Al-Nassr against Al-Fateh in the Saudi Pro League 2022-23. Ronaldo converted a last-minute penalty to help Al-Nassr salvage a draw at the Prince Abdullah Bin Jalawi Stadium in Hofuf, Saudi Arabia.

He later netted his first hat-trick as he scored all four goals in their 4-0 win over Al-Wehda FC.

Ronaldo continued his scintillating form as he scored a brace to help Al-Nassr beat arch-rivals Al-Hilal 2-1 in the Arab Club Champions Cup 2023 final to bag his first title in Saudi Arabia. The Portuguese ace finished as the top-scorer in the competition with six goals.

At the end of the year, Ronaldo finished as the outright top scorer in 2023 with 54 goals for Al-Nassr and Portugal national football team.

With more than 50 goals to his tally, Ronaldo netted the most goals in a calendar year for the sixth time, including achieving the feat previously in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Ronaldo’s prolific goal-scoring form continued in the 2023-24 season as he later surpassed Abderrazak Hamdallah's record for the most goals scored in a single Saudi Pro League season. He eventually won the Saudi Pro League Golden Boot for 2023-24 with 35 goals in just 31 matches.

The Al-Nassr talisman also became the first footballer to finish as top scorer in four different leagues - the Premier League, the La Liga, the Serie A and and the Saudi Pro League.

So far, Ronaldo has scored 53 goals in 52 appearances in the Saudi Pro League. He has also scored crucial goals in the AFC Champions League, Saudi King Cup, Saudi Super Cup and the Arab Club Champions Cup.
