The Tamil Nadu government has included eSports as part of the Tamil Nadu CM Trophy 2024.

Organised by the Tamil Nadu government through Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT), the Tamil Nadu CM Trophy 2024 will stage several sports events including athletics, football, volleyball and kabaddi to promote sports culture and also identify talent at the grassroot level for the Olympics. 

Apart from the above mentioned sports, eSports has also been added to the list for the first time as a demo event.

For the execution of these eSports tournaments, the Tamil Nadu government has partnered with local organiser Skyesports who will act as the governing body and their decision will be considered final with respect to these events.

The registration for the Tamil Nadu CM Trophy 2024 Esports events has already started.

Tamil Nadu CM Trophy 2024 Esports registration eligibility criteria

As per the Tamil Nadu CM Trophy 2024 Esports eligibility criteria, interested gamers must be residents of Tamil Nadu and must have an ID proof stating that he/she is a resident of Tamil Nadu. 

Furthermore, all players must be at least 16 years of age to take part in the tournament.

How to register for Tamil Nadu CM Trophy 2024 Esports

In order to register for any of the Tamil Nadu CM Trophy 2024 Esports events, go to the CM Trophy website or use any of the links provided by the organisers - Skyesports and Thamizh Esports Association.

As mentioned above, players must be a resident of Tamil Nadu and must be at least 16 years old.

Interested candidates must then select a game that they want to compete in and complete the registration formalities.

Once verified, they will receive a confirmation of their entry.

Tamil Nadu CM Trophy 2024 Esports schedule

The Tamil Nadu CM Trophy 2024 Esports events will commence with online qualifiers held in different districts on October 17-18. 

The best players from the qualifiers will advance to the grand finals to be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Complex in Chennai on October 20.

The Tamil Nadu CM Trophy 2024 will offer a total prize pool of a whopping INR 37 crore.
