The PUBG Japan Championship 2023 Phase 2 eSports tournament is scheduled to start on September 29 and conclude on October 15 in Japan.

Organized by PUBG SCRIM JAPAN and PUBG Corporation, the PUBG Japan Championship 2023 Phase 2 will see 16 teams compete in the high-profile competition.

The online tournament will be held to determine the strongest PUBG team of Japan in 2023.

Developed by PUBG Studios and published by Krafton, PUBG: Battlegrounds is a battle royale game. The popular game was inspired by the Japanese film Battle Royale (2000). 

It is built on previous mods created by Brendan "PlayerUnknown" Greene for other games, and expanded into a standalone game under Greene's creative direction. It is the first game in the PUBG Universe series.

PUBG Japan Championship 2023 Phase 2 format

As many as 16 teams that have qualified from the PUBG Japan Challenge Series - PJC Points will take part in the PUBG Japan Championship 2023 Phase 2.

A total of 45 matches will be played in the PUBG Japan Championship 2023 Phase 2 to determine the winner. Five matches will be held per day.

PUBG Japan Championship 2023 prize pool

The PUBG Japan Championship 2023 Phase 2 has a total prize pool of ¥5,000,000 JPY (33501.00 USD).

The winner of the tournament will receive a cash prize of ¥2,000,000 JPY (13400.40 USD).

The second and third-placed teams will get ¥1,000,000 JPY (6700.20 USD) and 600,000 JPY (4020 USD), respectively.
