Live streaming, PGL Dota 2 Wallachia Season 2 underway in Bucharest: Where to watch - get teams and format

The PGL Dota 2 Wallachia Season 2 began on October 4 and will run till October 13 in  Bucharest, Romania.

Organised by Romanian event organiser PGL, as many as 16 eSports teams are competing in PGL Dota 2 Wallachia Season 2.

Team Spirit won the inaugural edition of the PGL Dota 2 Wallachia after they pipped Xtreme Gaming and Team Falcons to clinch the title in May 2024.

PGL Dota 2 Wallachia Season 2 schedule and format

The PGL Dota 2 Wallachia Season 2 will be staged in two phases - Group Stage and Playoffs.

The PGL Dota 2 Wallachia Season 2 group stage began on October 4 and will run till October 9. It will be staged in a modified Swiss-system. All group matches will be played in a best-of-three series. 

The top eight teams will qualify for the playoffs while the remaining eight will be eliminated.

Meanwhile, the PGL Dota 2 Wallachia Season 2 playoffs will be held in a double-elimination bracket from October 10-13. All playoff matches except the Grand Final will be played in a best-of-three series.

The PGL Dota 2 Wallachia Season 2 Grand Final will be held in a best-of-five series.

PGL Dota 2 Wallachia Season 2 prize pool

The PGL Dota 2 Wallachia Season 2 has a total prize pool of 1 million USD.

The winner of the Dota 2 tournament will receive a cash prize of 300,000 USD while the runner-up will bag 175,000 USD.

The third and fourth-placed teams will get 120,000 USD and 80,000 USD, respectively.
