The LPL Split 1 2025 will start on January 1 and run till February 1 in China. 

Organised by Tencent Games, the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) 2025 is the first split of the thirteenth year of China's professional League of Legends league.

Ahead of the LPL Split 1 2025, it was confirmed that LPL repurchased Rare Atom's LPL spot. This resulted in the league downscaling to 16 teams for the 2025 season.

Bilibili Gaming are the defending champions of the League of Legends Pro League after clinching the LPL Summer 2024 in August.

LPL Split 1 2025 schedule and format

The LPL Split 1 2025 will be staged in two phases - group stage and playoffs. 

As per the LPL Split 1 2025 format, these 16 participating teams have been divided into four groups of four teams each.

Teams are seeded into four pots based on Summer 2024 placements. One team from each pot will be drawn into each group. 

Teams will compete in a single round-robin best-of-five format with Fearless Draft. The top two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs.

The bottom two teams of each group will be eliminated from Split 1. 

Meanwhile, the LPL Split 1 2025 playoffs will be held in a double-elimination format. Group winners will be seeded into Upper Bracket Semifinals while group runners-up will be seeded into Lower Bracket Round 1. All matches will be played in a best-of-five series with Fearless Draft.

In case of group stage side selection, it will be decided by the winner of a 1v1 solo match. The loser of the previous game will pick sides for the next games.

Game 1 side selection will be decided by a coin flip in the case of playoffs side selection. The loser of the previous game will select sides for game 2-4. Game 5 side selection will be decided by the winner of a 1v1 solo match.
