The Free Fire World Series (FFWS) 2023 will start on November 10 and conclude on November 26 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Hosted by leading esports organiser Garena, the fifth edition of the Free Fire World Series will see 18 top teams from several regions around the globe compete for the FFWS 2023 title.
Thailand's Evos Phoenix won the previous edition of the Free Fire World Series in Bangkok last year. They claimed the world championship trophy for the second time after amassing 117 points with the help of two Booyahs.
Free Fire World Series 2023 dates
The Free Fire World Series 2023 will be held in a revamped format. The FFWS 2023 group stage will take place across six match days from November 10 to 19 as compared to the one-day Play-Ins previously.
Meanwhile, the Free Fire World Series 2023 grand final stage will be a three-day affair from November 24 to 26.

Free Fire World Series 2023 format
As per the Free Fire World Series 2023 format, the 18 participating teams will be divided into three groups equally.
Each team will face the other sides in their group in a round-robin format. The top 12 teams after 36 Group Stage matches will qualify for the Grand Finals.
In the Free Fire World Series 2023 Grand Finals, the top 12 teams will compete in a total of 18 matches over three match days.
The team finishing with the most points will be crowned the Free Fire World Series 2023 champions. The Free Fire World Series 2023 winner will be awarded a trophy and huge prize money.

The Free Fire World Series 2023 total prize pool has not been disclosed by the tournament organisers yet.
The 2022 edition of the Free Fire World Series had a total prize pool of US$2,000,000.

The remaining two slots and participating regions will be announced at a later date.
Free Fire World Series 2023 points system
The Free Fire World Series 2023 points system will remain the same just like previous editions.
The team that manages to secure Booyah in each game will get 12 points, while the second and third rankers will bag nine and eight points, respectively.
The two bottom-placed teams (11th and 12th) will not get any points. Each kill counts as one point.
