The Esports Awards 2024 was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Saturday, August 24.
Organised in collaboration with the Esports World Cup 2024, the Esports Awards 2024 was staged to recognise the best performers of the eSports industry including players, publishers, videographers, journalists and many other categories.
India’s leading eSports and gaming content organisation, S8ul Esports bagged the ‘Content Group of the Year’ award for the third consecutive year at the Esports Awards 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
With the unprecedented feat, S8ul Esports became the first eSports organisation to clinch the award three times in a row.
Meanwhile, Valorant claimed the coveted Esports Game of the Year award while Mobile Legends: Bang Bang won the Mobile Esports Game of the Year award.
Co-founder of star team G2 Esports, Jens Hilgers was awarded the Lifetime Achievement award at the ceremony for his work with ESL and G2.
Having commenced his work in the eSports industry in 1997, Jens Hilgers later established Bayes Esports and is also the founding CEO of ESL and the founding general partner of Bitkraft Ventures.
For the first time, the Esports Awards has divided its ceremony into two separate events.
While the first phase of the Esports Awards 2024 ceremony concluded at the end of the Esports World Cup 2024, the second ceremony will be staged in London later in the year. It will primarily focus on the Pro categories including fan favourite awards such as Esports Player of the Year and Esports Team of the Year.
